Welcome to Tea Infusion. My name is Tony, I'm not an owner or an employee or anything. I am a fan of Tea Infusion and the amazing people who own and operate this amazing store. The reason I'm here is because, well, I've kind of hacked in without anyone realizing it. (Do me a favor and don't tell anyone I did this.)Tea Infusion has been in the Tempe Marketplace Mall (2000 E. Rio Salado Pkwy., Ste 1064, 85281, Tempe) for just over a year. When it comes to tea, I am a neophyte. Truly I know nothing. Chrissy, Steve and the amazing others who work here won't give you any Lip(ton). With over 120 varieties, they are the authority on tea.
I came here because my son, Mark, loves tea. We stopped in and I was expecting something along the lines of brown aquarium water. Chrissy explained that tea should be served in a clear cup so that you can see its color. It's been said before that first we taste with our eyes. That first cup was served in a pot with a clear cup, a timer and a dish so that I could remove my tea leaves. I'll never forget my first pot. Dark Roast Mate. The menu said it was "an acquired taste." I guess I acquired my taste for this tea by the second sip.Everytime I drink Dark Roast Mate, the same thing happens: I feel better than I did before I drank it. It lifts me up and gives me little jolt of energy. Yet I'm able to sleep at night.
Most people aren't like me and prefer sweeter, fruitier drinks, however. Tea Infusion has practically every flavor and type of chai on the planet. And what a lot of people seem to miss is that Tea Infusion also has GREAT food. Everything is fresh and typically organic. This is a great place for tea, food and friendship. I can spend the day here -- and I often do. 
It was funny. Right after I wrote this entry, Steve was over helping customers decide which tea would be right for them. He was describing what each one was along with its flavor profile. That guy really puts the "Tea" in Teacher.
